Enrollment at Hill View is through a lottery process. Children who are Massachusetts residents are eligible to attend HVM. Haverhill residents receive enrollment priority over students from other Massachusetts cities and towns. Further, siblings of children currently attending HVM are given enrollment preference if they have participated in the school’s public lottery and a position is available.
A public enrollment lottery is held at least annually and determines each child's enrollment or wait list status. A public, non-partisan member of the Haverhill community, such as a minister or local politician, presides over the lottery to draw the names. If space is available, students will be enrolled based on the order in which they are selected in the lottery.
Students remain on a waitlist until a position becomes available. If a student does not accept a position when offered, that student must participate in the next lottery to again be considered for enrollment.
There is a lot of important information to help a family make an informed decision about enrolling their child in a public Montessori program like HVM. This information is shared at Enrollment Information Sessions.
The enrollment lottery for September 2012 will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012. An additional lottery will be held sometime in August (the date to be determined) for the purpose of adding students to the end of the current waitlist. Enrollment forms can be downloaded below. Completed materials must be submitted to the school by 3:00 pm March 12, 2012 in order to be considered for the March 14th lottery. (Completed enrollment materials include an Enrollment Form, a copy of the child's birth certificate, and proof of residency.)

Wednesday, January 25 at 6:30 pm
Saturday, February 4 at 9:30 AM
Monday February 13 at 6:30 pm
Friday March 2 at 9:00 am
