HVM offers a number of enrichment activities including an afterschool program and an inschool elective block. 

The afterschool program includes activities such as track, cross country, chorus, rhythm ensemble, etc. 

The inschool elective block, fully funded by the school and introduced during the 2009-2010 school year, has been a huge success in part because of student enthusiam, but also due to the dedicated hours of many volunteers who "staff" the electives!  

In Elective Block, students are given an opportunity to participate in a number of different programs which are typically offered three times per month in 6-8 week blocks.  Studnets have participated in rock climbing, school news, robotics, woodworking, etc.  Aside from providing students with invaluable opportunities to have new experiences, the Elective Block has enabled HVM to have dedicated teacher collaboration time on a regular and extended basis.
